Local 1053 at Selma, Ala., and the Alabama State Legislative Board have established a fund to assist a Norfolk Southern conductor who was critically injured in an automobile accident Sept. 6, State Legislative Director Ronnie Clements reports.
Josh Greenhill, 20, was injured when his vehicle hydroplaned in heavy rain on Highway 13, about 30 miles north of Tuscaloosa, Ala. He sustained multiple fractures, along with internal injuries.
“Thankfully, Josh has improved and is currently in a rehab facility in
Northport, Ala., and is expected to make a full recovery,” Clements said.
However, Clements added, Greenhill has mounting medical expenses due to this accident.

Roberts is local chairperson of UTU Local 1053 and also serves as chairperson of the Alabama State Legislative Board.
