| Driver convicted in fatal Calif. bus crash |
| COLUSA, Calif. -- The driver of a bus that crashed in Northern California last year, killing 11 people, has been convicted of 11 counts of gross vehicular manslaughter, the Associated Press reported.
Jurors deliberated for about three hours Thursday before convicting 53-year-old Quintin Watts of Stockton. They also found him guilty of 21 counts of great bodily injury. Watts was behind the wheel of a bus carrying 41 mostly elderly Hmong and Mien immigrants to a casino in Colusa County last October when the bus left a rural road and rolled over. Authorities say Watts apparently dozed off at the wheel, leading to the crash. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 4.
