MONTREAL -- Bombardier Inc. said on Thursday (Jan. 15) that it received an order worth C$120 million ($93 million) from SNCF, France's national railway, for 22 high-speed trainsets, according to this Reuters report.
Montreal-based Bombardier will team up with France's Alstom to deliver the bi-level trainsets, which are a follow-up to an initial order for 82 trainsets in late 2000.
The Canadian group will manufacture three vehicles and six carrying bogies for each of the 22 eight-cars trainsets. The work will be done at its Crespin, France, site and deliveries are expected between January 2006 and December 2007, the company said.
Alstom's share of the contract is worth about C$371 million, Bombardier said.
