SECTION 6 NOTICES

The following are proposed changes to the so-called National Contract regarding wages, working conditions, health and welfare benefits and other provisions. Under the Railway Labor Act, both the UTU and railroad companies represented by the National Carriers' Conference, the railroads bargaining arm, are free to submit these Section 6 notices 30 days in advance of the expiration of the National Contract. The National Contract remains in effect until it is amended in accordance with the Railway Labor Act. Any questions on these Section 6 notices should be directed to your General Chairperson.
