"START" Policy
Presentation Dates

United Transportation Union (UTU) general chairpersons representing employees on the Norfolk Southern Railroad met in Norfolk, Va., on November 9, 1999, to finalize arrangements for presenting the details of the company’s new "START" discipline policy to UTU local chairpersons.

UTU-NS General Chairperson Delbert Strunk urges all UTU local chairpersons to make a concerted effort to attend the meeting scheduled in their area, which will follow a town-hall format.

Strunk added that NS has agreed to pay all UTU local chairpersons who attend the START presentations.

The presentations have been scheduled in the following cities at the times listed, however, final arrangements have not yet been made for the meeting place in each location:
