SUBJECT: FUNDING FOR FY '99

As you may be aware, Congress has passed a final appropriation for the National Mediation Board for Fiscal Year 1999. As a result, we are lifting the suspension of Section 3 activities as of October 21, 1998. If you submitted a request to work and travel for the month of October, your Form 14 is enclosed with a limited number of days to be used beginning October 21 through October 31.

If you have not already submitted a Form 14 for November, you must do so immediately or you will not be authorized to work.

If you have not already submitted your voucher for September, you are in violation of NMB administrative requirements and must submit your voucher immediately in order to be in compliance. All vouchers (Salary and travel) must be submitted within 7 days after the end of the month in which work and travel was performed. The NMB will be closely monitoring this requirement during FY '99 and continued failure by an individual to comply with this requirement will be grounds for removal from the NMB's roster.
