UTU Yardmasters and Soo Line
reach tentative agreement

CLEVELAND - On July 16, 1998, the Soo Line and its employees represented by the United Transportation Union - Yardmasters Department reached tentative agreement on a new Collective Bargaining Contract.

Assistant to the President-Yardmasters Don Carver and General Chairperson Tom Turner negotiated the agreement with the representatives of the Carrier in Washington D.C. under the auspices of the National Mediation Board.

Details of the contract are being withheld pending membership ratification of the new agreement.
