October Workshop Focuses on 21st Century Train Dispatching

WALTHAM, MA -- Government, industry and union leaders are invited to attend a one-day workshop on 21st century train dispatching that is sponsored by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Office of Research and Development and will be hosted by Foster-Miller, Inc., in October.

Scheduled to be held Thursday, October 1, at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, IL, the workshop will cover training objectives, successful training techniques, and the challenges of 21st century train dispatching.  Cost of the workshop is $75 for those who register before September 1, and $100 for registrations after September 1.

The FRA Office of Research and Development conducts research, development, test and evaluation projects to support safety and enhance the railroad system as a transportation resource.  Foster-Miller, located in Waltham, MA, has been providing technology-based research, development, design and testing services to the transportation industry for more than 15 years.
