Alex Transportation drivers in Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Washington vote overwhelmingly for representation by the UTU.

Elections were held on June, 13 and June 15, for Alex Transportation drivers in Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Washington which voted overwhelmingly for representation by the UTU. The total numbers of drivers is approximately 250. There will be three units; 1) Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas - 2) Arizona and 3) Washington and Oregon. We look forward to working with and for those drivers now and in the future. Vice President McNelis wants to thank GC Roy Arnold, Wm Koehn and LC David Arterburn, his Committee, Officers and Members as well as LC Danny Young, Wm. Young, III, for their assistance in the organizing efforts in Arizona, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma organizing efforts. Thanks as well to Local 556 LR Jim Shelley, Local 324 GC Brian Donald, VC Rodney Overgaard., President Steve Sanders, Field Supervisor Andy Sanderson and Yardmaster Kelly D. Hoolahan, for their assistance in Washington and Oregon as well as all of our rail Brothers and Sisters who assisted us in the organizing effort.
