Members of Local 1042 accept four year Labor Agreement
with Jefferson Bus Line

Local 1042 – Members of local 1042 overwhelmingly accepted a new four (4) year Labor Agreement with Jefferson Bus Line. Some of the new improvements are as follow:

Top Regular Mileage rate will now be raised to .3325 cents per mile over the length of the Agreement.

Top Charter Base Rate will be .3175 cents per mile

Other increases - Protection rate increased by $3.50 per hour over the term of the Agreement

Meal Allowance increased

Guaranteed vacation slots

Improved language in grievance and arbitration provisions to ensure prompt handling of members grievances.

All increases are retroactive to March 1, 1999.

Vice President McNelis who worked with Local 1042, LCA, in the negotiations, commended Chairperson Fred Rayman, and his Committee which included Charlie Pollard and Bob George, for their hard work and dedication on behalf of their members.
